CPE–POWERENG is a flagship conference of the IEEE Industrial Electronics Society (IES), devoted to the dissemination of new ideas, research and work in progress in the fields of power electronics, renewable energy integration, power generation, transmission and distribution, power systems, electromechanical energy conversion, automation, and electromagnetic compatibility (EMC/EMI).
The 2027 edition invites industry, research and academia to Badajoz, Spain — a historic border city in Extremadura, one of Europe's leading regions for solar and renewable energy deployment — for three days of technical sessions, invited talks, tutorials, workshops and networking.

The conference takes place in Badajoz, a historic city on the Guadiana River along the Spanish–Portuguese border. Home to the largest Moorish fortress in Spain (the Alcazaba) and gateway to a region leading Europe's solar energy expansion, Badajoz offers delegates a compelling blend of engineering relevance and cultural heritage.
